Many of us don’t realize our dishcloths are made out of microfibers, which are a kind of plastic. Every time you wash this synthetic fabric, millions of microfibers are released into the waters, these fibers are too small to be filtered out by waste treatment plants, so they end up in our waterways and oceans, where they wreak havoc on marine animal health and our environment. These plastics make their way into the bellies of marine animals, and people have found plastics within the fish on their plates!
Once you are done with your dishcloth, cut it into strips and place it into your compost bin, it will then fully biodegrade back into our earth.
